Answers:    i am on the 25th year for one machine...replaced pump and marine mixing valve once...yes it be worth it ....my mother and sister both have alike model ge washer and they are both on their 32 year using the same gadget....both have replaced pump and mixing valve once...if you take thoroughness of your machine,dont overload it, and not use it when you know it have a problem until it is repaired it will last abundant years....

About 5 years I think.It's a disposable world we live contained by and cheaper to replace the machine.See if you can find a company that will recycle it.
