I found a small whole on the dampen pipe in the subterranean vault. I am trying to fix it by welding myself. What type of alloy I should use on copper pipe, or it doesn't concern?
Answers:    If the hole is very small, you can put a wipe of solder on it, and it should hold. In order to do that, first of adjectives, shut off the marine to the pipe. Open a low spigot in your house for a drain, and a hight spigot for a vent. You must verbs the copper off surrounded by the area to be soldered. Dab a bit of flux surrounded by the area you want to solder. Heat the pipe beside a torch, and then touch the solder to the hot pipe. Solder melt about 700F, so if in attendance is any water within the pipe, it won't melt (because the pipe won't capture much over 200F until all the dampen is boiled off.)

This will individual work for a small pinhole leak. One other consideration is, since you enjoy one pin hole leak, the pipe is probably in the vicinity it's end of enthusiasm. In other words, there is probably another overrun right near this one. It really would be best to exchange the pipe out if that's an option.

You're really not "welding" the pipe. Welding is a process where on earth to metals become one by adding a "filler" metal and intense bake. What you're doing is actually "gluing" the metal. The solder never in actual fact becomes bit of the copper, but sticks to it with profusely of strength.
just turn the wet off cut out the hole and put a topical piece of pipe in if you dont know how to solder the joint buy push fit fittings
