I found a canon ball from the Revolutionary period of war on my property (when a stream dried up and I was digging a garden). How can I verbs it and preserve it?
Answers:    I would get someone to look at it to sort sure it is disarmed. A man in Virginia be killed only just when a civil war cannon bubble exploded.
I guess I'd probably just use a circular telecommunication brush in an electric drill on it. And go away it at that. Be sure to look for any foundry marks, etcetera. If you prepare the surface any further than flex brushing it, it may not look like a cannon bubble anymore. E-mail me if you find anything interesting.
