What can I use to treat my aniline leather furniture? It has stains, greased areas and discoloration due to sun reading light. I hope there is some humane of oil or other thorough treatment that could be sealed afterwards. At equal time I would like to conversion the color from medium green to drastically dark green (similar to what is scheduled if I make leather really damp during cleaning).

Answers:    Aniline restoration is enormously successful and it may be possible to darken the colour depending on how much it has faded.

The products used are aniline dyes which are the products that be used during the tanning process and it may be possible to do the work yourself depending again on the level of disappearing.

The stains and grease areas may not dissappear altogether but will blend in and not look so unmistakable.

Aniline dyes are available from LTT together with instructions for the process.

On aniline leather you should also use a strong protector (Ulttra Protect) as this will inhibit vanishing and reduce the staining.
