How to trademark a small discharge within a 3/4" flexible (crinkled) freon flash to A/C?
I don't think JB weld will hold even on the 3/4" low pressure chain. If you shut it off and leave it sour while the JB cures it may hold. If it starts leaking bad within the house, you will want it repaired by a qualified AC tech.
Leaking freon displaces oxygen. If this an accordion type crinkled fitting, there is no repair. We are talking of 400 lb pressure potential. You stipulation a service tech. Yeah, we get the big bucks, but you get a cool house.
You better procure a service technician to check the unit and replace the damaged subsection of the line at the same time. In adjectives probablility some amount of the gas was lost, so you will need to enjoy it checked and retored to specifications for proper operation. Of course no repair will work while the system is under pressure, so at some point you'll need to get hold of a service tech to recover or at least recharge the system. While he's in attendance he can braze the hole shut. If it's badly kinked, it should be replaced.
jb weld.works wonders on MANY things
Better stale getting a new set up.we are talking 300 psi here bud..if you suggest a patch will hold up, try duck tape. Replace it.
Answers: You won't be able to make an potent repair. Best plan on replacing it with a copper suction line. I've simply come across a dozen or so of those type lines over the years, and it seems that most of them did leak. Bad design. Do yourself a favor, the individual proper corrective action is to replace the entire line.
Good luck.
