How to replace a thermo coupler? I have to replace the thermo coupler on my elder lennoxx furnace...

I have to replace the thermo coupler on my elder lennoxx furnace furnace but have never done this until that time. Can anyone help? Thanks
Answers:    Very simple to do... First shut the gas stale to the furnace... unthread the thermocouple from the gas valve and from the pilot assembly... Just reinstall it like peas in a pod way to removed it... Just spawn sure when you relight the furnace that the end of the thermocoupler is recieving a direct hit from the pilot flame...
Thermo couplers are confident, all you should requirement is a 4 or 6 inch crescent wrench, Look at the gas control valve, in attendance is what looks like a copper chain that runs between it and the pilot assembly, thats the thermocoupler. one end screwed to the gas tap and the other sticks in the pilot flame. a wide-ranging coupler will work. I usually get a 30" you can other coil it up at the gas valve. the trickiest module is getting the sensor end to the pilot only just watch how you find the old one out and the different one will go put a bet on in in recent times as easy appropriate luck
