I had some work done on my shower wall, and the repairman who come in to do the work be sanding the tiles contained by the bathtub. Somehow, he manage to leave a 6" long gash at the bottom of my hip bath, and several chips along the sides. Is there any approach to repair this, and if so, what do you recommend?
Thank you for your time.
Answers: the guy that caused the twist should have to repair for that interfere with.he should have covered the tub while working on it.but seize yourself a porcelain repair kit.a small staple polish size bottle.( they come in different colors so take one to match your tub ) u can stuff any chips with the gear, but use thin coats ( do not try to saturate with 1 coat as it may run ) use heaps coats till u reach the compactness of the surrounding area.if the first coat is to white next get yourself a small bottle of black model paint ( the type of paint for drawing model cars and planes ) add a drop at a time till u clash the tubs color
It can be repaired with a re glazing compound.
I would first inform the the company that the repairman works for. Give them or he (if he's self employed) a occasion to explain, correct the issues. If you cannot get any mutual compromise than it's time to inform the BBB and the attorney broad to file a complaint. You may hold to settle this with a small suite within small claims court.
Get at least 2 estimates from reputable companies that repair the glazing on bathtubs. Take photos making sure they are clear and show detail of the impair. Write down the days, times, names of folks and angles you took to peacefully resolve it.
Hopefully this won't have to be in motion to court and can be handled near both sides coming out happy and rewarded but if court is your last opening at least you will bearing in have proof with estimates, photos and a detailed report of your attempts at handling it.
He should own noticed the incapacitate that was created. If he did and didn't mention it it's possible that he's any dishonest or scared(of loosing his job or have to pay for it out of pocket). If he didn't spot it then I would awkwardly think twice in the order of hiring him again.
Good luck
