The linoleum is quite glutinous and mostly a light grey surrounded by color. The burn mark is black and 1/2 bearing down through the vinyl. It has a krispy coating that a 3-m wipe refuses to break through next to repeated scrubbing. My thought is to sand away the color distortion consequently apply an acrylic sealer such as a seam sealer used to seal vinyl butted pieces. Any minister to here would be greatly appreciated.
Answers: There is a repair kit (see knit below) that allow you to repair a vinyl floor. I've used it and it does a good available job. Because the finish that comes with the utensils is different, it may get dirtier contained by that area.

The best is to replace that tile or cut a square out and replace. But if you cannot find a fitting tile, I'd try your approach or maybe in attendance is a tile in a closet, corner, etc that could be lift to replace with?
