Answers: I was given this suggestion by a learned friend 40 years ago.
Use a hairdrier on the affected nouns, it drives out the trapped moisture, and it seems to work.
Don't overheat as you will soften the finish.
Yes, here is a product available, where wood finishing products are sold, that will remove these stains. I had a divine fruit wood Queen Anne's desk that someone left a drinking glass on over darkness. Result: a white ring that I was told nothing short of refinishing would remove. Well, I tried everything, nil worked so I mostly kept the spot covered for 15 years with a big desk blotter and then in the future I found this stuff at a Lowe's store...(they sell lumber, hardware, paint, remodeling & landscaping supplies, etc.).
(I enjoy since found it elsewhere as well.).
I thought...what have I get to lose? Bought it, tried it and it worked. I'm not kidding you, I literally jumped for elation! I couldn't believe it!
Try "JASCO Furniture White Ring Remover" (for heat or water marks). comes within a little white jar (made by JASCO Chemical Corp. out of Santa Ana, CA.)
or maybe even. "Howard Restore-A-Finish White Water Ring Remover".
If your local store (that deal with wood furniture refinishing products) doesn't carry any... ask them if they carry a similar product.
