I know the entire "You can't remove bleach, it already killed the dye" story, but is within any way possible to a short time ago cover it up without buying anything?

Somebody VERY influential to my entire CAREER is coming over in nearly 30-60 minutes and it would look horribly... horrible if I left it here. I can't rush out to some random store and be rear in 30 minutes.

Do you hold any food coloring or grapes/grape juice? Maybe you could try rubbing something similar to that into the carpet. Is here anyway to put a coffee table there? Or a ably trained dog to lay on the spot. Or if there are kids surrounded by the house they could leave some of their toys over the spot. If not perchance you could try explaining what happened and how you are going to fix it. Sometime general public appreciate that you take responsibility for your mistakes and scenery that as an admirable trait. People realize that things surface.
