For two years I have been have my next door neighbor¡¯s weeping willow trees pruned to keep them from destroying my property, so how do I destroy a weeping willow?
Cut a 1/2 inch groove all around the tree about an inch surrounded by depth. That'll kill it pretty quick.
Otherwise, break some bark off and drive copper nail into it, glue the bark support over the nails, this is a slow method though.like 12-18 months, but pretty damn impressive.
As far as all these 'do-gooders' and tree huggers go, if that SOB of a neighbour doesn't respect YOUR SPACE AND PROPERTY, annihilate the prick. AND his tree.

surrounded by the middle of the night, when he's not looking, strip the bark bad the trunk. Go all the way around the trunk and strip atleast 18 vertical inches.
that's how you scuttle a tree. if you do it so it's nice and notched, you could tell him you saw a beaver working on it or something.
you could also try spraying the leaves with roundup weed executioner. it kills more than just weed. make sure to only procure it on the leaves of the willow, and do it several times (will take a lot of roundup, but will start to massacre it from the roots up.)

Why isn't your neighbor doing anything roughly speaking the problem? You can't, without your neighbors' permission. you'll probably acquire in trouble for tampering near someone else's property

drive copper nails in it!
