Find out why they are within. They may be carpenter ants, so its possibly you have some wood rot surrounded by the house.
If you kill them they will hold coming back as long as they own a feast somewhere contained by your house to go to.

I use white vinegar. first i put some on a swept up pile of ants(cause they have fixed to move into my bathroom and i keep sweeping them up and flushing them) the vinegar literally renders them unresponsive in smaller quantity then a minute... so immediately ive dumped some vinegar in what appears to be near entry point. if this is still effective tomorrow. i shall verbs doing it. also the chalk works. ive made a perimeter around at hand "nest" with a gooey line of chalk. and they will not cross it. so its a situation of killing the moved out over ants still roaming about... and containing the ones thinking roughly speaking roaming about.. so im gonna stick near the vinegar... ive never had ants previously... so good luck to both of us!
Answers: Just go to the hardware store and buy ant traps.
place them contained by areas where you see plentifully of ants.
worked for me.
the next step (if you still hold ants after a month) get an exterminator. he'll bring care of the rest.
