I have a 3-way touch storm lantern that I think shorted out and won't neutral anymore.
I was tightening one of the two bulbs and, instead, the bulb come off the basis...the rim of the bulb (the thread part) got stuck inside the socket...So, I used a set of two of pliers to gently unscrew the threaded constituent out of the socket. Now, the lamp won't work anymore.
Is it shorted?
Is it effortless to fix? What part desires to be replaced?
Thanks in credit,
M.E.
Answers: At the base of the socket within is a metal flap that connects with the bottom of the bulb. Use some sandpaper and clean this contact all right, then bump up it off the bottom by bending it somewhat and give it a try.
