The connection between the electric company and my house goes underground within a conduit. At my house it comes out of the ground below my electric meter, and connects to it.
How do I find the other end of that conduit? In other words, how do I identify the electric company junction? It could be a T-junction box above ground, or it could be something underground. The electric company is being very slow to bring back back to me with the answer to this examine.
The only junction box I see is the one used for cable TV and phone. One of the family who did work involving that junction box told me it's not for electric power, just cable TV and phone.
Answers: Power is transmitted mostly on poles. Look for a transformer close and follow the drop to an underground conduit which will lead to a big box marked illustrious voltage. You won't normally have access to the inside of that box; it belongs to the power company.
So...what business u enjoy to find the underground junction connections? The point that concern u is the wire coming out of ground to ur breaker box. If u involve anything done to the other end is with consent from power company. If u need to dig...they will locate and sitting duck the location. That's to keep non-experienced people from getting kill. Most connections are ALL underground and in the Manholes. Everything that is beforehand the electric meter is the electric company's, what goes out of the meter box is yours.
