Answers: I have a fire in my home in advance this year and am now cleaning up after the Witch Creek fires that adjectives through here last week. Here are some tips:
Krud Kutter. Simply the best cleaner to use on any and adjectives surfaces that have soot, ash and smoke bring down. It is non-toxic, fume free and biodegradeable. Microfiber cloths. Use these on delicate items, close to ceramics, cyrstal, silver, metals, were the grit from ash and soot can scrape. They attract the particles instead of sliding them along the surface.
Baking soda & borax. Great for upholstered items. Vacuum past its sell-by date the surfaces first, then sprinkle any on the fabric, agree to it sit for a day or so and vacuum up the excess. They both work on mat as well to remove that smoke smell.
