I have a concrete tile roof on a house near a 27.5 square (2750 sq feet) roof. I have a overrun in my roof and am considering relaying my entire roof. This would be taking stale the existing tile, putting new feel on the roof (2 layers), then putting the existing tile final on the roof. It is a 2 story w/ a pitched roof. There is a chimney. Some flashing will need to be replaced as capably. What do you think it would cost to relay the roof? The house is within San Diego, CA. I currently have an estimate for $7000 but am not sure this is fitting or bad. That comes out to roughly speaking $250 a square (for the relay only; this uses existing tile).
Answers: They'll be reusing the existing roof tile, so the cost for stuff is minimum, so you'll be paying mostly for labor. If your not sure on the price then as other on a major home modification project, get a few estimates. This will donate you a much better idea of price and where on earth you stand to get the best work done.
Good Luck, ;-)
As a contractor, I wouldn't do it for $7000 so it sounds close to a good deal to me. Almost too suitable.
