I live in a mobile home surrounded by southern california and have a considerable A/C unit connected to the chief part of the house. I live surrounded by the add-on room which have a very ancient A/C. I want to get rid of the weak one and connect the new component to the add-on room. Is this possible and if so, how much does something close to this cost?
Answers: it would be possible if the area lower than both sections is accessible. it is a pretty simple installation and any heat and cooling contractor could do it in smaller amount than a day. basically make sure the current hvac section is large ample to handle the auxiliary room. also it is as important when heat or cooling a house that return air match the supplied air. if the blower does not own enough return nouns then it loses actions.
if you are at all handy you could do the work yourself. you stipulation to cut a hole in the floor. connect the boot to the pipe and next cut a hole into the supply trunk of the air handleing duct. if i be doing the work, which i have done copious times, i would probably charge somewhere in the neighborhood of 250-300 bucks. dutiful luck.
It depends on a lot of factor as to whether it is feasible to connect the 2 spaces. Do both areas enjoy a space below the sub-floor that can be accessed from any side? Is the existing ductwork under the house for both unit? I am assuming that we are talking just about a central system that you are wanting to connect to? One more piece, if you are taking air from the one nouns to serve the other area, the artistic area will cessation up with smaller number capacity.
