I have a horrible bathroom! The toilet wont flush, the shower doesn't drain the way it should (backs up), when the shower does drain; it does so adjectives over the bathroom floor. We have had plumbers look at it and hold been told we need to replumb our bathroom. We be quoted around $700, is this reasonable? Will it be a horrible job that cheap or am I man overcharged?

At the quoted price, I'd hold them do it today. If they are a good competent contractor. Also get a firm contract and a activities bond from the plumber. THis sounds like too cheap to pass up.

$700 sounds cheap to me for a replumb but they may be planning to only do a new toilet and new shower vessel, that would be around 700 in oregon area

Honestly, I think the reason you may own been quoted that "great" price is you might have simply lucked up and found a contractor between job and hungry! Happened to me with a tiler for my bathroom. That doesn't sound unpromising at all. But be sure like Jim W said to achieve everything they're going to do "IN WRITING" and a bond for the job and make sure you also check them out beside the BBB in your area! If to be precise the average price you were quoted from every plumber you spoke with, walk for it. If not, keep looking. Good luck. Dealt with several a bath in my time.

It doesn't nouns like that much but I'd get opinion and estimates from at least three different plumbers. And don't tell any of them what the others said. Let them tender you an opinion based on what they find. It may lately need a good rotor rootering.

Answers:    Like any major home improvement, bring 3 estimates, talk openly more or less what you need/want and what the plumbers recommend to accomplish your desires.
Many people would suggest going with the middle estimate.
$700 sounds really inexpensive, monitor out for that guy!
Is he licensed and insured? Does he carry workmans comp insurance for his employees?
You could gossip to your local plumbing inspector about the job as okay, and he will offer some advice as powerfully.
