They may be smelly, and trashy looking but there is BIG money contained by scrap. Especially if unknowing associates are willing to bring what ever is offered them. 20-30-40 cents a pound adds up next to a lot of pounds.
One more register, probably in your own report paper below the stock market page, it chronicle metals prices. Now you won't get that price because the shaving yard does enjoy to pay their human resources and they have to receive some money too. But some are millionaires by taking a larger then requisite cut.
