How long does a the finish on fiberglass tub end? I was told that the finish on the composite hip bath does...

I was told that the finish on the composite hip bath does not last long, smaller quantity than 5 years. Whereas the finish on cast iron tub can later 10-2- year. Please let me know. Thanks.
It is much easier to install the composite tub due to its lightweight.
