With so many designs and curves contained by Fiberglass Pools,Is this molded out of sand or other methods?
Answers: Most pool moulds, are fabricated out of wood, and fiberglass. The mould, is typically sculptured and shaped into the shape desired, and then finished to fundamental perfection. Once the mould, is ready to "cast" or "lay up", It is painted beside a "gel coat" which is the base color of the finished pool. The gel coat paint, is sprayed onto the mould, and is built up near layers of fiberglass mat, fiberglass resion, and reinforcing layers of wood slats to be precise set into the fibreglass matting, as it is built up to the vein needed to form the pool shell. Once the fibreglass has set up, it is removed from the mould master, and trimmed to remove excessive materials, and consequently is cleaned up and a final finish trim paint may be applied to enhance the appearance of the pool.
