i have a brass fountain and the dampen exists though a horn being blown by a boy. the horn broke of the appendage of the boy and i would like to soder it support on but am not sure if the soder will hold.

Answers:    If you do it right solder will do fine. Be sure to clean adjectives areas to be soldered with fine sand quality newspaper and a cloth. Remove any oil beside a little alcohol, and use proper flux. Cheap, smooth and uncomplicated.

Soder will not be strong enough for a indisputable repair. You will need to braze weld it to fix it correctly.
