I will need to check house current. Then I will enjoy to check a signal on a receiver. Then on a gridiron cable
Answers: A voltmeter is used to check voltage. An ammeter is used to check current. I think you are asking on the lattice cable, continuity, which would be an ohm meter. And on the receiver signal, Frequency, though I'm not sure what signal you are referring too? Anyway to answer your interview how to use a voltmeter. Take the voltmeter leads usually red and black, set meter to peak volt setting and touch red lead to positive rope (usually black on 120v residential circuit) then touch the black front from the meter to the negative or adjectives wire(usually white on a 120v residential circuit). Voltage is read pos. to neg., amperage is read in series.
A voltmeter on a web cable and/or receiver???? Why??? What are you trying to do?
