I am trying to fix the upper trim attached to the storm door and am having no luck contained by dismantling the same. Local home depot guys believe that its a 2001 or subsequently storm door. help!

Answers:    Usually the frames are screwed into the crack. To dismantle the frame you have to hold it out of the opening.
If you don't see screw you might have one near the trim pieces that hide the screw. The caps enjoy to be carefully pried rotten if that is the armour.

Assuming you know that the top piece might be 'captured' or locked in by the side pieces, adjectives storm door frames are screwed both on the fronts and on the insides of the jambs. Inspect your storm door frame carefully and you'll find the screw.
