I bought something like a fish-bowl with a spigot to acquire my water out of the 5-gallon jug I buy almost once a week. After about 4 months, it cracked a little surrounded by the bottom of the bowl, and, when I removed the 5-gallon jug, there be ALGAE lining the BOTTOM of the BOWL!! Can I put a cap full of chlorine within my water jug to prevent this from up again?
Answers:    If you use pure water with nil in it, algae will grow. But, if you use tap-water, it shouldn't allow any to grow.

Wash out the tank all right, then fill it next to tap water. If you use it for drinking, yes use hit water. If you don't, just include some liquid chlorine.
