Get a square piece of plywood, 1/2 inch or thicker, and cut to fit. you can then paint the pieces to meeting or what have you. as far as seal the hole, use a clear, silicon based caulk, applying a high pencil sized bead around the entire opening and where on earth the plywood meets the unit well. finally, move about inside, turn that baby on and delight in your nice cool air.
