We moved a power point to a lower position so our phone could reach the kitchen bench. Now we enjoy a nice neat 5 x 7 inch hole within our wall! It is currently hidden by for a moment painting I hung over it - however, we are moving and are going to rent this house out. The hole requests to be repaired before tenant can move in.... how do we do it? or for the cost of materials etc. would it lately be easier to just hold a handyman come in and fix it? (it is that plasterboard/gyprock/stuff)
Answers: I bought these repair patch things. They be a thin piece of sheet metal beside some fiberglass mesh over them, you just place them over the hole and immobilize it to the wall with spackle, sand, and paint. Worked close to a charm, and much easier than replacing a piece of drywall.
put a toilet roll behind the hole and stuff next to paper and later plaster over it.
