I just purchased and "Handyman Special" and my biggest problem is the flooring. They are undressed concrete and are heavily soiled (pets, dirt, etc). I have tryed cleaning next to bleach water but it lately seems so soak surrounded by and cause more odor. I enjoy been told that once I lay the earthenware tile I will no longer have the odor but I dont want to find out the knotty way and own to tear up my unsullied floor. Any help is appreciated.
Answers: Once adjectives the obvious refuse is removed and the floors are mopped, wash the floors near a solution of Nature's Miracle or Petzyme (I recommend the latter). These are enzymes which will eat up any remaining urine or feces that have embedded into the floor. The product should be spread on the floor and covered beside plastic tarps for a day or so. You can way of walking on it. You just want to hang on to it damp for a year.
Suck up the remaining fluid if there is any and verbs well near water. Allow the concrete to dry completely - something like a week of good weather or dry bake then trademark the concrete and cover with anything flooring you want.
I used a pressure washer with a concrete cleaner and it did a superb work taking what I thought were undying stains out of the concrete.
Just be aware that after you pressure wash the floor, you may still distinguish some staining. That's ok...let the product work overnight and check it contained by the morning and you may find as I did that the stain was GONE!
If you can't use a pressure washer, later just mop on a worthy quality concrete cleaner and permit it sit overnight.
