Answers: I know exactly what you are talking roughly speaking. My salt hose swimming pool had like problem a couple of years ago. I first noticed a couple of river beetles within the pool then subsequent thing near were hundreds of them and those little buggers bite as powerfully. My kids recently told me they own started to see them again in the pool.
If you look particularly closely at the water beetle you will distinguish when it comes to the surface to breath it will then convey an air bubble underneath it¡¯s belly for air supply. I asked the pool shop what to do and they sold me a chemical made by Lo-Chlur call NO MORE BUGS. You put in the pool and it change the surface tension of the dampen and prevents the water beetle from one able to transport an air bubble. (The chemical is safe to humans) soon after putting NO MORE BUGS in the pool hundreds of them started march out of the water and hiding surrounded by the garden. As fast as they be coming out of the water I be stepping on them to kill them, but a couple of days latter after the chemical wore off they be back.
The course I finely got rid of them be using persistent. Everyday I be out there scooping them out near the leaf dipper and the thing that worked the best be removing the leaf picnic basket from the skimmer box, for some reason the marine beetles like swimming near the skimmer box. Because the skimmer picnic basket was within it would stop them from being drowned. When I removed the key skimmer box basket the bugs get sucked down into the small pool pump basket and drown. Every sunshine I would check the pool pump basket to unfilled the leaves and hundreds of dead sea beetles. After give or take a few a week they were adjectives gone.
