Answers:    hi. ive be a registered plumber for 16 yrs, and what you describe is a faulty mixer shower tape, or a faulty stopvalve within an electric shower. the mixer type shower cartridge is smoothly replaced, parts available for most makes at plumbcentre, but electric types are purely not economical to repair.

You probably need to replace the trademark or washer at the valve where on earth you turn on the shower.
If there is also a leach at the faucet it may be the washer on the hot or cold water spout
