I have an outdated hose (1960) and the so the pipes are pretty old, it seem the one in my laundry room can't pedal the massive amount of water from my Kenmore washer when it drains. I've have the pipes cleaned so it's not that, the problem lies in that the pipe is too small to toy with all this hose down. Does anyone know how I could slow down the amount of water coming from the washer so my dated pipes can handle it? My washer is a Kenmore (model: 110.20622991, Serial: CL0812492, Type: 111)
Answers: if the pipe beforehand the trap is vertical, cut it above the trap and increase the pipe size. And make sure it's between 18&30 inches high-ceilinged.
bend the drain hose, like you would a garden hose to slow it down.
