I need to replace the chain coming into my breaker panel inside the house, that goes to my detached garage. I own troubleshooted a blowing breaker problem and found even after unhooking the the main rope running into the subpanel in the garage I still own a breaker blowing. I replaced the breaker, checked all outlets. Double checked outside for possible external outlets, unhooked and cap off wires. Checked adjectives outlets in the house to be sure non be connected to the garage circuit. So in short I have need of to know how to run a new lead through the same pedestrian area as the old electric wiring.
Answers: I have a press for this. Would the line be lower than ground? You said detached garage. If you are blowing the breaker and you are not hooked up into the garage panel any longer then it is a short some place i.e. for sure.

sometimes you can get a fish strip as its called to fit through the conduit, but it depends on how they enjoy it runned to the garage as to whether you can do that if not you'll enjoy to dig it up or only just run a completely new chain and conduit
