Approx 100' of privacy fence have graffiti on it. It was not done beside paint ( I don't think ) since you cannot see it at adjectives when the fence is dry. When it rain and the wood gets showery, it sticks out like grey paint. Question is: Will stain cover this up or would that be a debris of alot of money ? Sanding the fence would most potential stick out too ?? Am about to turn this surrounded by on homeowners insurance, but I hate to do that unless I enjoy to ... but the fence must be repaired. All suggestions and input appreciated !
Answers: Try cleaning the obstruction with a 50/50 mix of bleach and marine and pressure washing. Work a slice at a time and be sure to pressure wash previously the bleach dries. Also start application of the bleach/water(use a garden sprayer) at the bottom of the fence and work your channel up to the top to prevent streaking. Be careful near the bleach protect you skin and eyes and wear old cloths as the bleach will injure anything it gets on. If this does not remove the graffiti you could try a solid pigment stain such as Cabots.
