How do I remove a stuck shower videotape? I need to replace the brass tape of a Czech&Speake thermostatic...

I need to replace the brass tape of a Czech&Speake thermostatic shower, but can't get it to move. It seem that it's 'bonded' to the sleeve. I've tried lubricant spray, heating it and 'tapping' it next to a hammer and chisel - nought worked. (Would drilling be an option?) Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

How do you properly put out a fireplace...
I am a 20 year plumber ,never heard of a Czech & Speake.I am sure in that is a cartridge pulling device out within that will remove cartidge.Is there any means of access to replace faucet.What is behind faucet.Is within a closet or an access door that the faucet can be replaced through. Sometime it is easier to relace faucet than fix tha old one.Sounds approaching you should call around and find a plumber to be exact familiar near this model.
