I would like to move my bedroom door to a better palce which would be on the opposite train of the wall. I live in a double wide mobil home and don't know if this is possible. It would brand name a better layoput for the living room if it is possible.
dont forget about the electric in the wall..u can move it beside no problem if no electric wires run thru the wall in that area...consequently u gotta relocate the wires first.

check out how to do it on google, i'm sure it's ok.. you are not moving an intire wall which would fluctuate.
Answers: It is possible, but the structure of a double wide is more fragile than a typical stick frame house. The double wide may own a structure combination of 2 X 2's with steel or it may be completely steel. Either way you can plan on using masses of the original door parts plus 2 X 2 or 2 X 4 parts to close the original slit and to frame in the new gap. The original door way should be taken down in moderation because of possible fragile structure and also so you can use the original door in the untried opening. Careful not to make any the original door opening or the unknown door opening larger than necessary. You own actually chosen a difficult task, and at hand are few real experts in the nouns of remodeling double wides. Good luck, and God bless.
