I broke the base when jump on my bed - playing with my son up to that time you wonder! I can't afford to buy a new bed and very soon the bottom half of the podium slopes at the edge in the vicinity the drawer. Any advice on how I can fix it? I can perceive the board is buckled when I feel inside the top of the drawer, is this replaceable?
Answers: Take the draws out. Tip it upside down. Take the fabric off the bottom so you can see properly what is broken.
Once you can see, any bridge it using a similar section of timber and fixing screw that are not too long to come outside the bed where it could injure, or brace it. Most divans are timber framed so can be fixed next to another bit of timber, you just entail the confidence to tackle it.
No more nail, or should i say no more nail.lol
