How do i lock a door knob from the outside if when you close it, it unlocks? Like if its open and i lock it when the door...
Like if its open and i lock it when the door closes it will unlock, and i want to know if in that is something i can take out of the lock or do something to it so it stays locked when i close it. Any Help??
Answers: the mechanism inside each brand are different. however these knob are designed so you do not lock yourself out of a room. typically they would be on a bedroom or bathroom door and someone would have shut the door and locked it from the inside. if you want to know how to lock it for other reasons afterwards maybe you should seize a keyed lock. since the other type can confidently be bypassed by disassembling the knob.
i suspect you are up to no good however. a prank or something resembling that.
That is a lock intended for use on a public restroom, or a store's fitting rooms. You can lock yourself in for privacy, but can't accidently lock out the subsequent person after you give up your job.
No, I don't know of any brand whose function can be changed.
