From what i understand, the window in my house are competent to stay open by rigidity bars? if i am wrong, correct me please.

thank you!
Answers:    Yes this type of windoww usually have a stiffness tube on each side. When you tilt the fanlight out you can see the aluminum tube that is located contained by the jamb. If it is broken it can be replaced. There is a screw that holds it in place. You can also adjust the tautness on these tubes. It is a twisting tool you will need to do this mission. Looks like a crank next to a hook on one end that you adjust the stiffness with. It verbs in a circle to adjust for more stiffness. Get someone to explain how to use it where ever you get hold of the cylinder. I have in synch the tension on one side to hold the windowpane up.This is a little tricky. Good luck
Sounds resembling the window sash is not attached to the set off tubes. Remove the sash and reinsert with the bottom pivots contained by the bottom of the balance tubes, should fix it.
