Just bought home (not new) that came beside a free standing wood stove. The inner firebox and the outer metal of the wood stove both have cracks contained by the same place that appear roomy enough for a significant amount of smoke to escape. Can these be weld or fixed somehow or do I need to replace entire stove?
Check with the businesswoman. It may have a lifetime warranty and the metal. Worth a shot. I don't know if you can win it welded.

2 things. If the draft is well-mannered, it won't leak. I have a 1893 HUGE cook stove with cracks 3/4" widespread and it never leaked, unless we get an occasional down draft, or if I forgot to open the flue.

Secondly, any wood stove store will hold stove cement.
Answers:    You can buy furnace cement to be precise a drying putty good for two thousand degree or so that you can use on your stove. Most hardware/building supplies carry it or you can find it online. Rutland is one brand
