How do I fix a filter coming from bringing up the rear the washer? I was doing my laundry earlier this evening and i notice there...

I was doing my laundry earlier this evening and i notice there is a leak coming from bringing up the rear the wall. Water started leaking through the wall when the washer gets to the "drain" cycle... (machine getting rid of water) I don't want to appointment a repair man unless I really, really have to. Is this something that I can fix myself? What steps do I take to get hold of this problem fix?
Make sure that the supply hoses aren't dilapidated. Make sure that the drain hose isn't damaged. Make sure that the standpipe(the pipe that the washer drains into) isn't damaged. Make sure that the wet lines aren't broken. quickly find the main shutoff tap or the hot and cold shut off valves at the back the machine..turn it off. double check where on earth the leak is coming from ..it might be from the hose with holes or loose hose fittings ..outdated water pump wears out too...sea pump cost around $50.00 ...do it yourself saves you money..
Pull it away from the wall and check to see if the waste water drain is clogged. If it is, acquire a clothes hanger and try to open it up or pour liquid plumber contained by it. If it's not the drain then see if it's leaking from the dampen hose connected to the faucet. If it's leaking there, unscrew the hose and lug out the little round rubber insert and take it to the hardware store and buy a new one for nearly ten cents and replace it. Screw the hose back on tight. Use a crescent wrench or a vise-grip to tighten it. Don't try to tighten it with lately your hand. I don't have the entire answer I don't muse , but the first thing I would do is check the lint trap in the washer and see if it is plugged up. Sometimes it is underneath the agitator . You may have to get on chain and find the model or your washer to find out where it is located , but these do get plugged sometimes and exact problems . Another thing you can do is check the back of the washer when it runs that cycle and see if it is coming thru the hoses where on earth they connect . It could just be a bad rubber washer , or even a bleak hose. Easy fix . What is behind the wall ? A drain . Piping? Hope some of this helps.HUgs..MJ
Answers:    Hire a repair man to do it.
if you cannot see dampen overflowing from the standpipe <where the washing electrical device discharge pipe goes> opening, then you probably enjoy a problem with the pipe itself.

first i suggest watching the pipe at the wall. it may be overflowing while in "drain cycle". if this is the skin, you need to snake the drain.

if not, later you'll have to open the wall and repair the pipe. <standpipe>
My guess is that you own a clogged drain pipe.I would get out the auger and snake out the drain pipe. Its really very simple to do own your own. You can pick up a 'snake ' for give or take a few $15.00. Start right behind your washer in the drain-pipe.Go slowly near the auger.Place it in the drain pipe, maybe a few foot, turn the auger clockwise until you resistance, slowly feed a bit more into the drain, keep feed it in to you go all along the auger.Don't rush it.Back it up if it doesn't feel right. wind it support alittle and then try to feed it for a moment more. Having control is important. You don't want an excess of the snake flopping around inside the pipe. good luck! I don't own much info to go off of , but locate the trickle, have the washer turned off after locating the trickle. Cut out the bad areas, get some PVC cement and primer and the fittings you need to make like drain afterwords. Then redo the error. On PVC you apply primer to the fitting and the pipe. Then glue to both and put the two parts together and verbs 90 degrees and hold together for 30 seconds. repeat until finished
this JUST happened to me last dark
i had to get a bunch of towels and block whereever the wet was coming out
then bring a bowl or cup and scoop the water out of the washer or adjectives the water will just escape through.
we didnt call the repair man yet,but i deem its time to get a new washer.
unless you are devout at home construction--you need to hire someone--this is a significant repair--

if the washer isn't in the basement--be careful---the hose down can cause the floor/ceiling to cave in--do not use it anymore...

to start with-you will inevitability to rip open the wall--and tehan you willl need to repalce a collective or a pipe
