How do I fix a seepage contained by my wall? I live in a big humidity high moisture nouns (New Orleans)....

I live in a big humidity high moisture nouns (New Orleans). We can't have basements here due to the amount of rainfall we get, but I do own an add-on to the house.

The problem is that the idiot imaginative owners that built the add-on didn't bother to put on a pedestal the floor like the rest of the house so this floor is almost, but not comparatively, flush with the ground.

It used to be a garage.

This usually wouldn't be the biggest concord because this area wouldn't generally be used, but we live with family unit and THIS area is our (my husband and I) living room and small kitchen nouns. We spend alot of time down here.

When it rains alot (like enunciate at least 45 minutes straight), the ground get saturated and it starts to seep into the basement from around the door to the courtyard, and in the storage room.

From what we can see, its adjectives cement at the base of the house so I'm thinking that the cement is cracked.

How do I turn about fixing this?
Answers:    I used to live within Lafayette, LA. the rain is High/ moisture too. Mother humour is gonna win on this case. Because, the addition was not platformed (above ground). U will win that moisture inside because the simple fact that rainfall water is close to a river and it's going thru. The alternative is to built a drainage system around that area and requires a ditch system and sump pump. Call some contractors contained by the area and see what they own to say, and bring some estimates what they are gonna cost u. Sorry for the bad report..good Luck.
sounds close to major repair may be needed, i assume you have a busted foundation, and unless you can lay down a big chunk of change, for someone to raise the house and fix it thru that style, you may have a house that will in recent times be "broke".but be careful, i'm sure near as much rain as that nouns gets, your home may be unstable
