My roommates bathroom sits right above the kitchen and for over three months now the sink have been leak onto the back of one of the cabinet. It smells really bad. I'm not sure if its mold or not but I'm guessing it is since it smells so bleak. The problem got fixed but the cabinet still smells bleak. The smell is so strong it not only make thee kitchen smell like rubbish and mold but it seeps into the going away room. It makes me almost loose my appetite every time I step into the kitchen and make the whole house come across dirty. What can I do to get rid of the smell beside out having to rip the cabinet out?
Answers: Mildew is mold in covering you were wondering. none of it is risk-free. You will need to access the put money on of the cabinet to put on a chlorine water solution. Please use a respirator near a p100 (HEPA) cartridge while working beside any mold.
After it is treated you will need to put on a coat of Kilz (Lowe's ) laytex to stamp it in and prevent re growth.
Mold is wreak by moisture that has a complex time drying in between walls. If you know the source and can see the nouns that is effect by mold than I recommend that you spray paint it with "KILTZ". Kiltz is also strong smelling paint but will combat mold contained by stubborn places. Leaving a leak for over three months to verbs means that probably the insulation on your ceiling (downstairs) along near the wall around yourcabinets is saturated beside water. I recommend that you clear up the house (windows/doors) and let it nouns out for a few days while you and your roommate clean the walls and ceiling near a spray bottle of bleach and water. The problem be not the leak but the omit. Good Luck!
