How do I bring my furnace to come on? I ran out of fuel grease last dark in the middle of...

I ran out of fuel grease last dark in the middle of the hours of darkness, and got more grease this morning - but now the furnace doesn't want to come on for more than a few second.
There's no visible pilot desk light, just the red reset button that I can see. Any counsel?
