Just had a contemporary faucet installed and every time I turn the knob all I get hold of is one small burst of water consequently it stops until I shut the water stale (or not) and wait and hang around and wait. After a bit the hose down then starts to flow.

Answers:    It sounds to me resembling you have a trickle in your file somewhere. The water system is a closed-pressurized series of pipes. Water shouldn't be back-flowing. I believe air is entering the system somewhere. You didn't voice whether you were on public marine or on a well-pump. I have a powerfully and can bleed my system if necessary to remove nouns sometimes caused when I modification my filter.
If you're on city water, (or a resourcefully for that matter) you should check to see if you have a trickle somewhere in your system. If adjectives is good, perchance you do need an anti-syphon stopcock for some reason.
