How do I check to see if the regulator/ rectifier is surrounded by working condition? I HAVE A TOSHIBA TV. The TV turns on but...

I HAVE A TOSHIBA TV. The TV turns on but shuts off after 1 minutes of operation. Near the AC input here is a rectifier that is making "clicking sounds", the TV turns Off. What do i do?!!

Answers:    Testing is not an jammy thing and requires special equipment which you probably don't hold. The clicking you hear is probably not coming from the rectifier either. More feasible, a protection circuit with a relay is the source of the clicking

The fitting news is this type of component is inexpensive. Just buy and replace. Use attention to detail because of the high voltages present inside your TV. If you don't know what you're doing, best not to mess around inside.
