How do I get my heat system red tagged by the gas company?

I own a 30+ year old heat / cooling system at my tiny little condo and I have a home warranty program. I be told by a heating guy that the best agency to get my home warranty family to upgrade my system / replace it is to call the gas company and own them do an inspection. Then, if the gas company determines that it¡¯s unsafe and red tags it I¡¯d know how to call my home warranty company and later would replace it. They would replace it because it¡¯s no longer repairable and as the heating guy said not a soul wants to argue near the gas company. What can I do to insure that if I have a gas company guy inspect my system that he would red sticky label it? I obviously want to do it without risk as well. I don¡¯t want to blow my place up trying to acquire a new system out of the settlement. Thx.
You can not "insure...that he would red tag it". That individual said, I would be surprised if a 30 year old gas furnace is not leak carbon monoxide from a cracked firebox. That is not normally repairable and WILL be red-tagged if it is found. In any armour, the inspection is provided free by our gas supplier and probably would be free for you too.

The gas company frequently does inspections for free, as a service to their customers. You might not want to mention that you WANT a red-flag, since that could be considered fraud.

Ask the gas provider for a fall check-up. They will come out beside lots of flyers and phamphlets talking roughly speaking changing filter, programmable thermostats, etc.

At worst, you don't get a red-flag, and you stick near the one you have. You don't necessitate to report the inspection to the warranty company, unless you choose to.
Answers:    thats fraud. Just replace it yourself, but you sound pretty cheap, so I don't suggest your going to do that. By the way, home warranty companies will distribute out a contractor for second opinion. I hold worked for many warranty companies, they don't freshly spend money that quickly. And if they do it,it will not be a tremendously inexpensive system that is installed. Good luck though beside that.
What you are looking for can only be taken perfectionism of by a heating/cooling contractor who has the tools to check the intact system. The gas company does and will only do newly alittle to insure the system is working or not. To get the system red tag like you are looking for requests more documention as to the problems found in charge for you to give to your home warranty company.
