I accidentally dropped a baby bottle into my sink and it somehow become lodged in the drain. I hold a garbage disposal and I can't whip it apart, so I don't know how to get the bottle out. I've tried using forks along the side, and a serious newspaper clip to try and hook it, but it turned sideways and is now lodged even worse. Does anyone know how I could carry it out?
Answers: The opening where on earth the drain goes contained by to the disposal should have a slotted rubber shield to prevent objects from flying out of the disposal when surrounded by operation. The shield is held in place by a contracted metal ring pressed on top of it.This can usually be removed by placing you're fingers lower than the rubber shield and pulling up at different points. (BE SURE the disposal is unplugged) After the shield is removed you should have ample room to remove the bottle.Replace the rubber shield and out of harm`s way it by pressing the metal ring down tightly.Good Luck!
