Answers: I bought a devise called 'Skip Doctor' it uses filter water to repair scratched Cd's and DVDs, I own used it on a DVD a friend gave me which froze, and repaired it (He latter wanted it spinal column to give to another friend) I bought a compact disc from Ebay which played OK on CD player, but which turned rotten the computer when I tried to play it on it. There must have be a fault near the visual parts for a computer, putting it through the Skip Doctor repaired it.
I don't comprehend how it works, but it does effectively remove scratches, and re-covers the disc. My one is mitt operated.
