We just open our pool this weekend (memorial) on Saturday, and next weekend we are have people over. It would be nice if the hose wasn't freezing. Right now the hose down is around 64- to 60 F (yes we need a better thermometer) anyway we hold a solar cover on it, but on monday and tuesday it will rain a bit bit and won't be sunny. Do you know of any ways to heat it up besides buying a electric fire, (though i wished we have one.)

Answers:    Get some 4mil clear plastic sheeting. Cover over the pool on hot sunny days. Leave it on at night. Sun will whitewash down through the clear plastic like an oven. Keep view on chemicals so pool stays clear.
