we live in a modular home that have vinyl covered sheetrock - I want to remove the strips between the sheets and paint the walls
Answers: howdee--after you remove the strips , make sure within are no staples sticking out, tape and mud seam with cohesive compound, this is a good time to also fix any fault in the walls , close to where pictures be hanging and etc , using a perfect 6 " knife, lite immensity joint compond , which can be bought surrounded by 1 gallon bucket, works best it 's smoother, be sure to stir it up real angelic, as this makes it budge on even smoother, apply 3 coats, allowing it each coat to dry over nite, or you can use 20 minute compound, it comes surrounded by a powder form and you mix water beside it and dries in 20 minutes or smaller number ,lightly sand between coats, apply a good coat of sealer -primer paint, presently you are ready to apply the finish coat, no event what brand, cost range or color, be sure to apply 2 worthy coats, we use a flat or matte finish , hope this helps somewhat bit
Reapply another layer of sheetrock, video the seams, prime and paint.
